(5.7) In Downcity will be launching Open Air Saturdays at four locations downtown this weekend. This event will repeat on the first Saturday of the month through October. Here’s a quick look at what to expect, but go to the website for more details and a helpful map.
Grant’s Block will host the Long Live Beerworks beer garden, with exclusive canned beer along with regional cider and wine offerings. Also live music and a couple of food trucks.
Visit Aborn Street where Rosalina will be pouring Peroni and Aperol Spritz to accompany their sausage and peppers. There will also be an outdoor bocce court.
On the same block, Durk’s Bar-B-Q will welcome classic rock cover band. Catch the Kentucky Derby on the screens inside of Durk’s.
On Union Street Kin Southern Table + Bar will curate the “Kin Marketplace,” highlighting various Black, Indigenous, People of Color, and women-owned businesses. Enjoy soul food classics and rum-based drinks while a DJ spins a mix of hip hop, reggae, and Afro beats.
At Biltmore Park, the Trinity Beer Garden will be serving beer, cocktails and mocktails. Enjoy live music, outdoor games, and shop a maker marketplace featuring Freya Soapworks, Daniel Kern Art, Bad Taste, and more.
The Providence Rink will be open next door from noon to 8pm, with ’50s themed roller skating.
