‘Sine Nomine’ Concert

(5.14) Join the Sine Nomine Choral Ensemble as they welcome springtime with a free program drawing on six centuries of music with varied styles, under the direction of Mike Galib.

Sine Nomine is an auditioned chamber choir, drawing its members from across southeast MA and RI. This performance is free; Donations will be welcomed.

From the history of the church:

The present church building follows the design of the early Roman basilicas dating back to the fourth century when Christian communities grew too large to meet in members’ homes. . . The mosaic floor of the Holy Name vestibule recalls the first churches of Rome, while the Corinthian pilasters, large barreled vaults, and coffered ribs are typical of the late Renaissance or early Baroque.

Free and open to the public, Sine Nomine, 7:30pm, Saturday, May 14, Holy Name Church, 107 Camp Street, (directions)
