(8.21) Get ready for the return of Necronomicon Providence, the world’s premier weird fiction convention brought to you by the Lovecraft Arts & Sciences Council. People travel from around the world to take part in this four-day celebration of weird fiction, art, and academia, right here in Providence, the home and final resting place of author H. P. Lovecraft.
We already previewed the event with details on speakers and venues, and the NecronomiCon Team has some last minute reminders:
Don’t forget some of the extra special events such as the Thursday welcoming party, the Cirith Ungol concert at the historic Columbus Theatre on Friday, and — last but not least — our very special Dunwich Horror Picture Show on Sunday night to round out the whole convention.
Also, there are HPL walking tours of Providence. And an opening reception for Ars Necronomica, the NecronomiCon art show at AS220, runs from 6pm to 8pm, on Thursday, August 18.
