Women And Whale Guitar — Music Mansion

(4.15) Head over to the Music Mansion this Saturday for a celebration of women guitarists making waves for the ocean. Stone Soup Coffeehouse will be hosting a songwriters-in-the-round along with the Whale Guitar Project. Inspired by Herman Melville’s epic American novel, Moby-Dick, the Whale Guitar is on a journey to amplify voices for climate justice and ocean health. Co-host Jen Long is excited about the lineup:

I couldn’t be more delighted to announce that Allysen Callery will be joining our lineup of six outstanding women singer/songwriters . . . Allysen says “I’ve been revisiting some of my early work on electric guitar, so this will be extremely fun for me!” Yes, she’ll be even performing one of her haunting electric songs on The Whale Guitar! I’m so excited to hear her play in the round along with Chelsea Paulhus of Cherry Pit and Tall Teenagers, Christiana Guglietti of Meridian, Beth Barron, Jane Hesser and Casey Ann Hayward!!

Donations on a sliding scale, $10 to $25. More info at Event Page.

Co-hosts Jen Long and Corinne Wahlberg will also be playing to open and close the show.

7pm, Saturday, April 15, Music Mansion, 88 Meeting Street, (directions)
