Earth Day Cleanup — River Drive

(4.22) The Blackstone Park Conservancy invites volunteers to meet at the Narragansett Boat Club, between 8am and 10am, for their Earth Day Cleanup. The BPC has other events coming up involving topics such as turtles, mushrooms, and coming up on May 13, “Pollinator Pathways and Guerilla Gardening.”

The Blackstone Parks Conservancy is dedicated to the preservation and stewardship of both the Blackstone Park Conservation District and the Blackstone Boulevard median. They have been accomplishing great things on the hillsides above River Drive, creating paths, building fences, and rogueing out invasive plants. Join up and volunteer. Get fresh air and exercise and meet friendly, like-minded people.

Saturday’s event  finish up at the boathouse for pastry and coffee.

(The Narragansett Boat Club offers both adult and youth rowing lessons. Attend one of the upcoming open houses on April 29, June 3, or July 15 where you can even give it try.)
