(5.23) This could get loud. The Providence Drum Troupe and the Extraordinary Rendition Band will be joining forces Tuesday evening for some joyous, noisy, parading fun. Bring the children who can wiggle, dance, and jump around, and enjoy the colorful musicians; they may even get to bang on something. This is a big, grassy space, so kids can run around. To get a better idea of what to expect, the PDT have captured the craziness on a video taken last fall when these two bands last collaborated:
The energy will be next level at this free show so come on down and soak up some good vibes, dance, let loose, and enjoy the beauty of a PVD sunset by the water.
The PDT are all about percussion, and throw free performances on Tuesday evenings on the nearby Pedestrian Bridge. The ERB feature woodwinds and brass. All musicians and performers are colorfully attired and illuminated.
