Steel Yard Event — TroopTop At WFAC

(7.6) The Steel Yard invites the public to this week’s TroopTop Thursday from 5pm to 9pm at the WaterFire Arts Center. Archery and booze! What could possibly go wrong. (First, make yourself that dog tag.) What to expect this Thursday:

. . . live musical performances by Nick Bishop (DJ) and NYMBUS, and a dog tag stamping station with Steel Yard jewelry instructor, Alison Bruun. Inside the gallery, for its final week, is the exhibition If These Walls Could Talk . . . Outside, our new neighbors, Archery Games Providence will be popping up so visitors can test out there archery skills!

The community is invited to TroopTop Thursdays at the WaterFire Arts Center every Thursday this summer, through August 31. Valley neighborhood restaurant, Troop PVD, creates a roof top bar with live musical performances and arts experiences as well as a fundraiser for the featured non-profit organization of the night.

This Thursday, a portion of the proceeds from special Troop cocktails go to benefit The Steel Yard; they will be there with some of their own industrial art wares and hammered jewelry.

5pm to 9pm, Thursday, July 6, WaterFire Arts Center, 475 Valley  Street, (directions)

DIY dog tags by TSY instructor Alison Bruun. Suggested donation: $5 to $10.
