Lovecraft Film Fest At Columbus

(8.20) The H. P. Lovecraft Film Festival kicks off a weekend of all things Lovecraft, including short and feature films, guests, panels, readings, and vendors, this Friday at the Columbus Theatre.

Join us August 18-20th . . . for the 4th Biennial H. P. Lovecraft Film Festival in Lovecraft’s beloved hometown, with help from the amazing Lovecraft Art & Sciences Council.

This festival was founded in Portland, Oregon, in 1995 by Andrew Migliore, “with the desire that H.P. Lovecraft would be rightly recognized as a master of gothic horror and his work more faithfully adapted to film and television.”

Guests include: From Whisper in the Static: director Heather Humpleman, producer Kasie Heister, line producer Nick Harrington, and writer and cinematographer Nathan Carter. Also, Marilyn Bastien, Pierre LeBlanc, and Vanessa-Tatjana Beerli of Tubers.

Go here for tickets.

In the meantime, head downtown to the Arcade and visit the Lovecraft Arts & Science Council who have posted a useful page of practical information for out-of-town guests. (NecronomiCon returns in 2024!)

All ages, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, August 18, 19, 20, Columbus Theatre, 270 Broadway, (directions)
