(10.29) The Providence Monster Dash 5K and Kids Monster Dash takes place this Sunday with many opportunities for ghoul-watching along the route. The 5K route includes a stretch through the RIPTA bus tunnel which, as always, will be guarded by zombies. The youth race will run out and back along South Water Street for approximately 1/2 mile (no scary tunnel). There will be a costume contest with prizes for best individual ($100) and best team ($200). Go here for Race Information.
Online registration ends at 9pm, Saturday.
On-site registration takes place Saturday from noon to 4pm, at Rhode Runner Running: $38/$20. Or register the day of the dash from 8:30am to start of the race on South Water Street, same price.
