Plant Walk At RWP

(11.11) Join the Museum of Natural History for a walk in Roger Williams Park and learn how to identify plants and understand urban ecology. Pets and strollers are not permitted. Wear sensible shoes.

From maple trees to mushrooms, you will gain a greater appreciation for the surprising diversity of urban wildlife. Binoculars are not required, but encouraged for animal sightings. Wear comfortable shoes and be prepared to travel over a mile, sometimes off-trail.

I have no idea where the guide will be leading the group. The scene here is just across the street from the Natural History Museum, looking at Willow Lake. It may have nothing to do with Saturday’s walk.

Walks meet at the Museum of Natural History. Pre-registration is required, go here.

Next plant walk is on December 16.

$3 for general admission but free for members.
