Plant Walks & Bird Walks RWP

Get out in the fresh air, learn something, and meet interesting people. The Roger Williams Park Conservancy has plant walks on Saturdays and bird walks on Sundays scheduled for the new year. Meet up at at the Natural History Museum. Program fee per session is $3, or free for museum members. Pets and strollers are not permitted. Pre-registration required.

Plant Walks: Learn about the plant ecology of Roger Williams Park as you explore to see which blooms have broken through the snow. Binoculars are not required, but encouraged for animal sightings. Walks meet at the Museum of Natural History and Planetarium. Recommended for all ages.

Bird Walks: Brave the winter temps in search of some feathered friends in Roger Williams Park. Possible sightings include woodpeckers, chickadees, finches and hawks. Special attention will be paid to the ponds where wintering waterfowl can provide unexpected species. Please wear comfortable shoes and bring binoculars if you have them. All skill levels are welcome. Walks meet at the Museum of Natural History and Planetarium.
