Children’s Museum Celebrates MLK Jr.

(1.15) The Providence Children’s Museum will present two performances of “MLK: Amazing Grace” on Martin Luther King Jr. day. The calendar lists two sessions: 9:30pm to 12:30pm and 1:30pm to 4:30pm.

Award winning storytellers Rochel Coleman and Valerie Tutson bring history to life in this interactive play for kids celebrating Martin Luther King Jr. and the Civil Rights Movement. PCM executive director Caroline Payson spoke with Providence Online:

She emphasizes that this age-appropriate play allows children to perceive Dr. King’s journey through a child’s eyes, enabling them to incorporate his teachings into their lives. The overarching message is that everyone, regardless of age, can contribute to making the world a better place.
