St. Pat’s Parade

(3.9) From Wyndham Street to the State House and points in between like Patrick’s Pub (opens 8am), the annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade kicks off at noon. Expect street closures nearby. The Boston Globes’ Dan McGowan serves as Grand Marshal. Go here for map. FB event page.

Keep celebrating this Wednesday, March 15, at the PPAC for the The Pipes Are Calling! celebration featuring Kevin Doyle and the Roscommon Soles, and house organist Peter Krasinki at the Mighty Wurlitzer. This event is free and open to the public and starts at noon. No ticket is required for Wednesday’s event.

The awning out front says “CÉAD MÍLE FÁILTE” which means, “A hundred thousand welcomes.” Learn how to pronounce it here.
