Music & Beer Garden — Armory Park

(6.20) Head over to Armory Park for live music when the Third Thursdays Concerts in the Park series kicks off the summer season. Moniker Brewery will be running the beer garden; the Farm Fresh Farmer’s Market runs from 3pm to 7pm every Thursday.

Live music in Dexter Park! Plus beer garden by Moniker Brewery and Farm Fresh Armory Farmer’s Market. Our first artist, Chris Monti, “puts on a movin and groovin one man show touching on music from around the globe but grounded in American roots and blues music. In addition to being a performer Chris is also a Therapeutic Musician at Rhode Island, Bradley and Hasbro Children’s Hospital.”

We don’t know who is responsible for the “movin and groovin” quote, but we endorse the sentiment.

Coming up:

July 18 — Becky Bass        August 15 — Detroit Rebellion

September 12 — talent show         September 19 — Grupo Sazon

We should decide once and for all if this site is going to be called Armory Park,Dexter Park, or the Dexter Training Grounds. Farm Fresh calls it “Armory Park/ Dexter Training Grounds” which is comprehensive but may be unnecessarily long. Pictured here is the Cranston Street Armory which serves as a beacon to the park no matter what you call it.

(Please note: the map on their event page would appear to be wrong.)

Free, 5pm to 6:30pm, Saturday, June 20, Armory Park, Dexter Street, (directions)
