Tenderloin Opera Presents New Work

(6.29) The Tenderloin Opera Company will present two free performances of their new spring opera “New Hope City: Oracle for the Future” this Friday and Saturday, downtown at the Mathewson Street United Methodist Church.

Titled “New Hope City: Oracle for the Future,” this opera is set in a mythical version of Providence. A mysterious whirlwind of politicians and broken systems “The Sweep” is clearing out tent cities in the area, and it’s up to our TOC heroes to stop this evil force before it crushes New Hope City.

The shows are a very fun time. All of our shows also have lots of chances to sing along with the songs we write and read along with our script!

Hosted by the 134 Collaborative, both shows are free and presented with the help of funding from the Rhode Island State Council of the Arts.

Free, 5pm, Friday, June 28 and 4pm, Saturday, June 29, Mathewson Street United Methodist Church, 134 Mathewson Street, (directions)
