In addition to the next president, this year Rhode Island voters will be choosing their representatives in Congress. Senator Sheldon Whitehouse is seeking a fourth term, while Congressmen Gabe Amo and Seth Magaziner are also seeking reelection. They all deserve your vote.
Senator Whitehouse is being challenged by Mike Costa but for the love of god vote for Whitehouse. I doubt it’s a significant challenge — the Senator has enormous name recognition and an excellent reputation — but primaries can get messed up if the turnout is low. Let’s not take any chances.
For one thing, Whitehouse is the one of the most highly respected experts on the Supreme Court around, having been warning us about it for years! He is always being called in by the news shows for his knowledge and clear articulation of the problems.
Whitehouse’s timely “The Scheme: How the Right Wing Used Dark Money to Capture the Supreme Court” was co-authored with Jennifer Mueller. “Captured: the Corporate Infiltration of American Democracy” came out in 2017. This man knows this stuff inside and out and we need him — the entire country needs him — to stay in Washington.
Whitehouse is the Chairman of the Senate Budget Committee and the Caucus on International Narcotics Control, and also serves as a senior member of the Judiciary Committee, the Environment and Public Works Committee, and the Finance Committee.
A graduate of Yale University and the University of Virginia School of Law, Sheldon served as Rhode Island’s U.S. Attorney and state attorney general before being elected to the Senate in 2006.

How to vote early.
In Providence the polling place is in City Hall on Dorrance Street.

If you are a Democrat don’t bother. If the results aren’t what the party wants they will just change rules and insert the candidate they want anyway.
Good luck Mike Costa, you could win 90% of the primary votes and you still stand NO CHANCE of being on the Nov ballot!!
