(8.29) Experience the thrill of paddling the Woonasquatucket River for free. The Woonasquatucket River Watershed Council (WRWC) will be hosting a Community Paddle this Thursday at Riverside Park in Olneyville.
Our experienced paddle guides offer 10-15 minute paddle tours of the stretch of river that runs through Riverside Park. These paddle experiences are not for experienced paddlers — check out our longer paddle trips if you want more!
Sign up day-of at the park. While you are there check out the fish ladder, the playground, and the plantings around the community garden. The bike path runs right through.
Keep your eyes peeled for marsh wrens, great white egrets, and even great blue herons which are roughly the size of a kayak. This park is a gem.
