Wayland Square has a new Mexican eatery; Maiz, a family owned restaurant, opened last month. This is the second Maiz from owners Julio Mendoza with his wife Iliana Borisova, the first being down in South County. They serve burritos, tacos, quesadillas, and street corn. Wash it down with agua fresca or Mexican soda.
Maiz has a full bar and the place was hopping last night . . . a Tuesday.
