The AMP will be hosting four first-round games in the NCAA men’s basketball tournament this Thursday. The two evening games will be carried on CBS. The two earlier games will be on TruTV. Events end on Saturday, March 22. This promises to be a big weekend for downtown businesses. The Mayor has compiled information regarding road closures, parking options, detours, etc.
The city also announced a partnership with Spin for this event with corrals for scooters and bikes set up around downtown (please don’t drink and scoot). Several bars and restaurants are setting up tents outside on blocked off streets, turning downtown into a big block party. It’s a fun scene even if you don’t attend a game.
