The new food hall in the old train station is now open. Track 15 features seven restaurants, a long open bar and soon, there will be outdoor seating. Most appetites can be satisfied here: There’s seafood and a raw bar (Dune Brothers), pizza (Mother Pizzeria) Mexican (Dolores), burgers (There, There), and Indian (Little Chaska). These names may be familiar to local eaters, but Gail Ciampa informs us that a new eatery features “specialties inspired by the ancient region of Anatolia and Turkish food at Tolia.” So look for that.
There is a lot to take in here and Ciampa has all the details, including “How dining at Track 15 works” which you may want to familiarize yourself with. (There are a few large panels placed around with instructions.) This system is not uncommon these days, but if you are bringing your grandparents in to check out the old station . . . it helps to have a plan. Plus, there are many distracting old photographs on the walls. And actually, some of the walls are pretty distracting.
Guests at Track 15 will order by credit card or Apple Pay at the restaurant or restaurants of their choice. They will share their mobile phone number to get an alert when their food is ready. They pick up their food, which is plated on china and served with stainless silverware and bring it to the table of their choice for dining.
Staff at the food hall will remove the dishes once diners are done.
Cash is not accepted at the kitchens or bar. Instead, guests can purchase a Track 15 gift card at the bar to use for food and drink. Takeout is not currently offered.

For this photo: My back is to the entrance to Waterplace Park which dives under Memorial Boulevard. This is also being freshened up and properly illuminated. Once the people come in, and the weather warms up, this whole area could be transformed.
To the right in this photograph is the Union Station Brewery who I’m sure are glad the construction has come to an end. They are a sports bar, also with outdoor seating, and I think more people will be finding out about them.
Track 15 can be accessed by the two staircases on either side of the building, from Exchange Terrace. There is also parking in an adjacent lot.

Mother Pizzeria features this Marra Forni Neapolitan-style pizza oven. The “mother” refers to the sourdough mother used to start the crust.
You’ll figure it out. And remember, they bus your dishes for you. No wandering around trying to find the bucket. Just leave ’em on the table.
Those windows and doors face out to the patio and eventually through to Waterplace Park. Still some work to be done. WaterFire will feel very different over here now.
