(3.22) Not only are the wheels coming off at Tesla, but the Cybertrucks are actually blowing apart in the wind . . . but only when it’s cold. Apparently Elon was cutting corners on the glue. I’m with Tim Walz, watching this company tank is giving me great joy. And the protests and boycotts are having an effect. Tesla’s stock value has dropped 50 percent since December, causing the company to plummet $800 billion in its market cap and slashing roughly $100 million from Elon Musk’s net worth.
Let’s keep up the pressure! Indivisible RI has announced a rally this Saturday across from the Tesla Dealership in town. The President has assigned the destruction of social security, medicare, medicaid, the V.A., the post office, the Justice Department, and so much more, to the loathsome Mr. Musk and his teen gang in an effort to deflect the blame. Working people built America and we deserve a government that fights for us!
Instead, Trump, Vance, and Musk are raiding departments, firing workers, cutting benefits, and pilfering the coffers to line the pockets of their billionaire friends. While they get richer off our labor, we’re left struggling with stagnant wages, rising costs, and attacks on our rights.
Enough is enough – we’re pushing back.
Having pieces fly off his shoddy warm-weather wagons is bad enough, but last week one of his SpaceX rockets blew up — the second in as many months — halting air traffic in and around Florida and showering the Turks and Caicos with flaming chunks of metal. Could it be the glue? Please, where are the product liability lawyers?
So let’s make some signs and show up Saturday. It feels good to chant and yell with like-minded folks. And while we know that early purchasers of the electric cars often meant well, there was never any excuse for buying a Cybertruck. We urge the dealerships to contact the mothership and tell this dangerous idiot to get back to work and out of our lives.
