The Rhode Island Film Collaborative is holding its annual Black and White Ball — the theme this year is Party in Space! The event comes in two parts.
The Premier Party from 6pm to 8pm features excellent food, champagne and open-bar with beer, wine and alien drinks, as well as entertainment. Tickets are $100, or $150 for two.
After 8 the event is open to all, with snacks and a cash bar, as well more raffles and entertainment, including an appearance by the aliens from Big Nazo. A donation of $10 is suggested.
This year’s guest of honor will be Herb Weiss, the Economic and Cultural Affairs Officer for the City of Pawtucket, for his contributions to independent filmmakers and their pursuit of independent film. He is also the Chair of the Pawtucket Arts Festival. More info and tickets — go to RIFC. Wear black, white, black and white, or your best outer space duds.
