(3.15) At the Everett Company Stage School this Thursday,
the latest installment of the Brain Café, a free series that asks audiences to engage in a dialogue at the intersections of neuroscience, medicine and the arts.
Brain Cafés invite audiences to share in Everett’s research and creative process as they develop ‘Brain Storm’, a multimedia performance that examines new developments in brain research and the imminent neurological revolution. The March Brain Café will investigate Happiness and Suffering. ‘Brain Storm’ will premiere in Providence at Everett Stage on April 13 and run for three consecutive weekends through April 29.
Presenters include members of Everett’s Company; and Willoughby Britton, Ph.D, Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and Human Behavior and Assistant Professor of Behavioral & Social Sciences at Brown University. Dr. Britton runs the Britton Lab, which studies contemplative, affective, and clinical neuroscience.
Throughout the evening, audience members will be encouraged to engage in a dialogue with the presenters.
Speaking of brains, somebody really should get the address of this place up on the front page of the website; it’s embedded in the text under “What we do.” But this picture is really cool.
Free and open to the public, 7:30pm, Thursday, March 15, Everett Stage, 9 Duncan Avenue
