WaterFire Art & Crafts Fest

(4.20) WaterFire Providence will be holding its inaugural WaterFire Art & Craft Festival this Saturday from noon to 6pm at the WaterFire Arts Center. The festival will expand on the WaterFire installations you have seen at full lightings during the summer, with over 75 artists and makers, live local music, and a community resource fair.

“We’re incredibly excited to invite the community to the WaterFire Arts Center for the first-ever WaterFire Art & Craft Festival,” said Laura Duclos, Director of Creative Services at WaterFire Providence. “This event is an extension of the Arts Festival Plaza that happens at each full WaterFire Lighting and we’re thrilled to be bringing the community of artists and patrons from our downtown events to the Valley Street neighborhood.”

Live acoustical performances will include David Bender; blues guitarist Tim Larson; and Lily Baker, a newcomer to the local music scene with an amazing and captivating stage presence.

Living statues from Ten31 Productions, a Silent Soapbox and Acqua Carta will be performing inside the main hall.

The Village Greek, Ming’s Asian Street Food, and Red’s Rhode Island food trucks will be serving up food, with Frenchy’s Popcorn offering a variety of snacks inside the hall. More info and pix at the WFAC Facebook page. Plenty of parking.
