Holiday WaterFire

(12.4) Two things coming up from the WaterFire people: A basin-only lighting kicks off at sunset this Saturday, December 4, for a holiday celebration. Meanwhile, another holiday market will take place back at the WaterFire Arts Center on both Saturday and Sunday.

First the Holiday Celebration at WaterFire with its ArtMart, food vendors, and a Choral performance starting at 3:30pm.

The Holiday Celebration at WaterFire event will feature a Santa’s Village where kids young and old can visit Santa Claus, get their photos taken, and send off their letters to the North Pole. Santa will be arriving by boat in Waterplace Park shortly after sunset and will be ready to hear your Christmas wishes at 5:15pm.

The LaGondola Providence Singers will begin a choral performance of classic Christmas songs on the Waterplace Basin stage from 3:30pm to 4pm. A Silent Soapbox’s Winter Fairy character will be in the park from 4:30pm to 8:30pm greeting visitors and posing for photos. Festival Ballet will be dropping in to visit with three of their characters from The Nutcracker from 5:30pm to 6:30pm.

Second, the Holiday Market at the WaterFire Arts Center will run Saturday & Sunday, December 4th and 5th, from 10am to 4pm. This is return of the Fine Furnishings show held back in November. Free admission, free parking. This building is huge and airy and spacious.
