WHAT: Pan-Mass Challenge Fundraiser. Suggested $10 donation. Your donation gets you free beer from Narragansett and Sam Adams, food from Julian’s, and live music! Local indie/folk/rock band, Van Bronson, will play a set as well as a solo show from garage/country/blues musician Joe Fletcher (of the Wrong Reasons.) There will also be a raffle ($1/ticket) where you’ll have a chance to win a year’s supply of beer from Sam Adams and other fun goodies. More after the jump:
Saturday, June 19, 8pm to 11pm, 28 Wolcott Street
WHY? In registering for the PMC each rider commits to raising at least $4,200 for the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute to participate in the ride. My team, the Booyah All-Stars has a goal to raise $50,000. We are riding in honor of our dear friend, Matthew Starring, who lost his battle with acute lymphoblastic leukemia in November. He was a musician, artist and cyclist. He registered to ride the PMC two years in a row, but each year could not participate due to relapses. He still raised the money for Dana-Farber though, often from his hospital bed. Check out our team fundraising page to learn more about Matt: http://www.pmc.org/profile/TM0199
WHAT IS THE PMC? The PMC is a 192-mile bike ride on August 7 and 8 from Sturbridge, MA to Provincetown, MA. 100% of every rider raised dollar goes straight to the cause, the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.
Make you donation online now, and we’ll put your name on the list, so you don’t have to worry about bringing cash, unless you want to buy a raffle ticket ($1 each)
