This Wednesday March 2nd, at the Wintertime Farmers Market in Pawtucket, learn all you need to know about Community Supported Agriculture subscriptions in RI. While shopping for your fruits and veggies, shop around for the CSA that is right for you.

CSAs are prepaid subscriptions to a farm’s produce for the harvest season, and most CSAs give shareholders a weekly supply of yummy veggies, herbs, fuits, and sometimes meat and eggs. CSA information (prices, drop-off locations, items offered etc.) for farms across Rhode Island will be available at the Fair. If you’ve never participated in a CSA before, grab a roommate, spouse, neighbor, or go by yourself, and sign-up on Wednesday!

There are CSA pickups in over 15 towns in Rhode Island, and the following farms and towns will be represented at the CSA Fair:

Baby Greens, North Kingstown — Farmacy Herbs, Providence — Four Friends, Cranston — Healey Farm, North Kingstown Hickory Hill Farm, Burrillville — Local Catch, Community Supported Fishery, Narragansett — Luckyfoot Ranch, East Greenwich — Mello’s Farm Stand, Portsmouth — Moonstone Gardens, Charlestown — Oakdale Farm, Rehoboth, MA — Pat’s Pastured, Jamestown — Red Planet Vegetables, Johnston  Rosasharn Farm, Rehoboth, MA — Scratch Farm, Cranston — Simmons Farm, Middletown — Wishing Stone Farm, Little Compton
