(11.26) Head down to AS220 today for the Short Short Film Festival 2016. It’s the films that are short, not the festival, which runs all day from 2pm to 10:30pm.
Co-organizer and creative director Toni Pennacchia explains, “This year’s programs feature both live action and animated films. While it might seem unusual to mix the styles, the festival is about the story and not the medium to tell it. It’s a small festival of small films, but it’s still world-class quality.”
The Heartstrings Program screens from 2pm to 6:30 pm and explores films of a more sentimental nature.
The Headtrip Program, presenting the weirder and more off-center films, runs from 4pm to 8:30pm.
Small catered reception at 5:30pm. (Facebook event.)
$10, 2pm to 11pm, Saturday, November 26, AS220, 115 Empire Street (directions)
