(5.21) Free train service. Free parking. Avoid the traffic. The RIDOT ‘Trains to Planes’ program returns after last year’s successful debut. The Providence Station is one of three participating stations. (Free parking near state house — see map at website.)
There will be three trains to the show from each station, with returning trains running from 1:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Train riders will receive a color-coded hand stamp to indicate their return station, and RIDOT staff at the Air Show will direct riders to the proper departure points based on the station from which they came.
What you can NOT bring on the trains: Backpacks, Coolers, Bicycles, Pets, Lawn Chairs.
Trains depart Providence: 8am, 10am, 12:15pm. Saturday & Sunday, May 20 & 21.
