Earth Day And Spring Cleanups

Earth Day is Sunday, April 22, and cleanups have been planned around the state — some this weekend, some the next. Try ’em all! The mural seen here is one of several at Save the Bay Headquarters. Let’s start there.

Save the Bay has a cleanup scheduled this Sunday from 10am to noon at its headquarters. More shoreline cleanups are planned in upcoming weeks for locations including Bold Point and Collier Park.

The Woonasquatucket River Watershed Council has scheduled their Greenway Parks Clean Day for Saturday, April 28.

Also on Saturday, April 28, is the Roger Williams Park Cleanup, as well as the 35th annual WBNA Spring Cleanup.

The Rhode Island Resource Recovery Corporation (RIRRC) has a calendar of events taking place around the state. The Environmental Council of Rhode Island also has a calendar.
