Providence Flea

(7.7) There’s beautiful weather ahead, perfect for walking along the Providence River Greenway and checking out this week’s vintage vendors, artisans, makers, and food trucks, with live music from Old Time Shady Lea who will fiddle and strum from 11am to 2pm. (Facebook event.)

Vendors this week include: Bad Taste pvd, Colonel’s Collectibles, Harrisville Woodworks, James Draper & Co., Lewis Farm Peonies, Mike Teipel Antiques, WoofWoof Pet Boutique, West African Treasures.

(This picture of the boardwalk was taken before work had even started on the pedestrian bridge. You won’t believe your eyes, although as of today, it is still not open to the public. Soon though.)

Below: Lvng is the owner of Bad Taste pvd, a brick-and-mortar store in the Arcade that sells streetwear, vintage tees, and much more. He has designed two great locally themed tees. I love the cream-and-red one that says “ProVIBEnce.” It comes in a tote as well. (His lovely cousin had just graduated from Brown and was helping out.)

Providence Flea, 10am to 4pm, Sunday, July 7, across from 345 South Water Street, (directions)
