Congratulations to the Providence Flea — their season has been extended through October. Their diligence in creating this safe shopping experience seems to be paying off. Masks and social distancing are required. Go here for their comprehensive Covid protocols and accommodations. If we all do our part, these vendors can continue to market their wares, and you have something fun to look forward to.
The Flea does a great job of curating their vendors: good mix, all-ages appeal, no cheap tat. Fall market highlights include:
. . . fresh new vintage finds, original art, upcycled furniture, DIY craft beer kits, handcrafted jewelry, preloved clothing, hand-poured candles, potted plants, small batch soap and apothecary items, plant-dyed and handwoven textiles, vintage Halloween goods and dolls and gravestone art, streetwear, tie-dyed and vintage concert tees, masks masks masks, found items, ocean driftwood and beach glass, Rhode Island and Providence-themed merch, handmade accessories and treats for dogs and cats, newly made bloomers from vintage fabrics, cheeky hand-embroidered hoops, thrown and hand-built pottery, hot and iced artisan coffee, cheesesteaks and loaded fries, hot waffles, the first hotdog maker in RI . . . the list goes on and on!
