(8.7) Saturday’s installment of the Ward 1 Movie Nights at India Point Park will be the 2019 life-action Disney remake, ‘Aladdin,’ starring Will Smith.
This “Aladdin” is still the funny-sentimental-inspirational story of a poor “street rat” who comes into possession of a magic lamp and a magic carpet, summons a big blue genie, and embarks on a scheme to win the heart of a princess and stop an evil vizier from stealing the kingdom away from the heroine’s dad.
Bring a folding chair, a beach towel, and have a picnic.
Running time: 2 hours, 8 minutes. Rated PG.
Free and open to the public, 8pm, Saturday, August 7, India Point Park, (directions)
