PVDFest — Weekend

(6.12) It’s back! PVDFest, a three-day outdoor festival, will be taking over the city this weekend and it’s all free. Head downtown for live music, dancing, food, shopping, and visual art installations, including a special youth event stage, a food village, and art and artisan marketplaces. Go here for the scheduled acts:

Day One, Friday, June 10 — Music at the City Hall Stage: Rebirth Brass Band; Kermit Ruffin; Big NAZO Creature Band. Check out Street Seats and Tensegrity.

Day Two, Saturday, June 11 — Music from Richard Price, Alexus Lee, Chip Doug, and the Narragansett Bay Chorus. Also look for magic, belly dancing, Bollywood dancing, the Glitter Revolution Dance Party.

Day Three, Sunday, June 12 — Afrika Nyaga drum and dance festival, the Rhode Island National Guard’s 88th army band, Coyote Brass, or join in the dance workshop with the Era Footwork Crew.

Motif Magazine and Askew have joined forces to mount the Burnside Stage Music Celebration with a mix of rock/folk/contemporary music acts on both Saturday and Sunday.

Grab a bite to eat in the PVDFest Food Village, a signature component of festival weekend. Check out the PVDFest X Craftland Marketplace on Saturday from noon to 6pm on Washington Street.
