Pops In The Park — Temple To Music

(8.2) The Rhode Island Foundation and the City of Providence are inviting the public to a free performance of the Rhode Island Philharmonic Orchestra’s Summer Pops in the Park concert at the Temple to Music in Roger Williams Park this Wednesday evening.

This year’s concert “The Movie Maestro: A Tribute to John Williams” will be conducted by Troy Quinn.  The 60-piece orchestra will play a 90-minute set with no intermission. The program is as follows (not clear on the whole intermission thing, but not important):

Olympic Fanfare and Theme
Flight to Neverland from Hook
Nimbus 2000 from Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone
Rey’s Theme from Star Wars: The Force Awakens
March of the Resistance from Star Wars: The Force Awakens
Superman March from Superman
Flying Theme from E.T.: The Extra-Terrestrial

The Patriot from The Patriot
With Malice Toward None from Lincoln
Finale from Far and Away
Theme from Jurassic Park
Princess Leia’s Theme from Star Wars
Imperial March from Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back
Throne Room and End Title from Star Wars
