Oyster Fest RI has rescheduled its annual oyster festival to Saturday, October 21st. Weather permitting. They will honor tickets already sold and will refund tickets to those who cannot attend the new date, minus the Eventbrite fees.
Celebrate Rhode Island’s oyster culture this Saturday at the 9th annual Ocean State Oyster Festival. Head down to the boardwalk on the Providence River and sample the 15 Rhode Island oyster farms. Compare and contrast: Are they chewy, firm, earthy, silky? Or meaty, plump, and smooth? The event also features live music, craft beer and wine, and food trucks (to augment your oyster intake).
Ocean State Oyster Festival collaborates with the Nature Conservancy of RI to reclaim the event’s discarded oyster shells, keeping them out of the landfill and adaptively up-cycling them for reef building.
Rain or shine. Children 12-and-under are free. Adults: $10 advance, or $15 day of. Dogs are welcome but must be leashed at all times. Oyster and drink tickets sold separately.
