(12.31) Join WaterFire Providence for another Starts At Sunset New Year’s Eve celebration, part of the Illuminate PVD NYE Celebration happening this Tuesday, December 31st, at the District Park and the Pedestrian Bridge. Moving this event to the early evening was a smart move; kids can partake then go home, while the adults can enjoy the spectacle before heading out to their grown-up parties . . . win/win.
- 5pm – Live music, The Guild Beer Garden, food trucks, After Dark playground and more.
- 6pm – WaterFire’s ‘Starts At Sunset’ activation, artists, roaming musicians, fire spinners and entertainment.
- 8:30pm – Illuminate PVD Fireworks show.
- 9pm – Official programming ends.

An “After Dark” playground, illuminated roaming performers from Circus Dynamics, a disco welcome tent with dancers from Fluxion Entertainment, a salsa dance takeover from Cultura Dance Arts, and PVD Poetry writing poems for the New Year on the fly promise enjoyment for all ages.
The party will groove right up to the fireworks display with local musicians including Sidy Maiga, Indira, and the Providence Drum Troupe, a 360 Photo Booth, and a DJ spinning tunes all night.
The Guild will be serving beverages in its heated tent. Food trucks will be selling food.
