A Night To Remember Bork Bork Bork

The Swedish Grammi* Awards were held last night.  Most of the awards went to people I don’t know,** like Anna Ternheim (Best Album, Best Female Artist), EMD (Best Song) and Afasi & Filthy (Best Dance/Soul/Hip-Hop Artist).  The totally dull yet amazingly popular Hakan Hellstrom won Best Male Artist, the annoyingly overrated Robyn got Best Live Act, and The Soundtrack Of Our Lives (remember them?) got Best Group.

Above is Catching Up by They Live By Night, the winner of the Best Video award.  I like it, it does a good job of making you pay attention to a fairly unexciting song.

  1. Um, maybe that sounds better in Swedish. But one band I do love is SooL! I saw them once with about a dozen other people at the old Lupo’s. Not the old-old Lupo’s…. the new-old Lupo’s. They were amazing. (Attn Scrabblers: BORK is a good Scrabble word and it’s a verb.)
