Yay, one of these.
Hot Mess is a collection of contemporary dances choreographed by Layla Mrozowski. Often satirical and always charming/tender/visually provocative, Layla’s works emphasize image and utilize pedestrian movement while challenging gender norms and exploiting perceptual relativity. . . Part model, part flight attendant, part Rockette and part sci-fi character/engineered woman, she embodies the media-image-consumption-regurgitation cycle, exploring Mrozowski’s attraction/repulsion to/of fashion. Girl as glitter; beautiful, shallow and strange, she exists always as a multiple.
