(3.13) By my count this is their third time on the show. Tonight they will be performing with the Chieftains having been one of several contemporary artists asked to collaborate on their 50th anniversary album, “Voice of Ages.” (Go here to listen.) According to the Low Anthem website;
We were happy to join a great list of artists who collaborated with The Chieftains and T Bone Burnett on this record including Bon Iver, Lisa Hannigan and the Carolina Chocolate Drops. We recorded Ewan McColl’s song “School Days Over.” We are also excited to announce we will be joining The Chieftains to perform the song when they hit the Late Show with David Letterman on March 13th, as well as Carnegie Hall on St. Paddy’s Day.
And in between those two gigs, on Thursday night, they play SXSW.
Video after the jump.
Late Show starts 11:35 (bands always appear towards the end), Tuesday, March 13, CBS
