(4.21) This woman’s face is a marvel. Barely contained beneath the serenely gorgeous visage of SNL cast member Kate McKinnon lurks a lunatic rictus which can erupt in a flash, and just as quickly disappear. (Must have been useful/fun in high school.)
There’s a great crew of women on Saturday Night Live right now but McKinnon has quickly risen to the top with her Bieber, Angela Merkel, and Diana Nyad (who does Diana Nyad any more) impressions. And who thought anyone could top Fred Armisen’s take on Robert Durst, or would have the opportunity. And yes, we have a new Hillary. My faves may be her personal characters like poor Olya Povlatsky and the note-writing apartment dweller — who I work very hard at not becoming — Mrs. Santini.
Tickets are still available at the time of this writing for Tuesday’s show at Rhode Island College.
