(8.25) Help celebrate the 99th birthday of the National Park Service and the 50th Anniversary of the Roger Williams National Memorial!
Enjoy light refreshments, meet the park staff, stroll the beautiful grounds at the Memorial, check out the exhibits at the Visitor Center and learn what’s happening in your National Park. Bring the kids for a scavenger hunt to earn a Junior Ranger badge and other fun activities!
Snacks! Badges! Plus, the gift shop in the Visitor Center sells quality mugs, caps, coloring books, and has a much, much better book selection than you will find at the horrible gift shop in the state house.
(N.B. Folk Festival this Saturday at the Memorial. It’s free.)
Free, 5pm, Tuesday, August 25, Roger Williams National Memorial, 282 North Main Street, (directions)
