(6.30) I would love to be in Washington D.C. right now. The city has so many fun destinations and activities for the angry tourist — staking out fancy restaurants, yelling “traitor” with that guy outside the courthouse. But I’m saving that trip for . . . you know. So let’s head over to our state house and be part of the national ‘Families Belong Together’ demonstrations taking place around the country this Saturday.
There is no reason that these families need to be separated and the fact that it even happened in the first place is outrageous. We need to let our government know this is not acceptable and we are angry, and that we won’t stop until something is done to stop pulling apart these families and getting these poor children back with their parents.
