1st Annual Sarah Good Foundation Concert

(7.29) After graduating from RISD, Rhode Island-grown clothing designer, jeweler, sculptor, and costumer Keri Haas became a creative entrepreneur for her original designs (and, later, a purveyor of retro jewelry and accessories through Red’s Vintage Stuff). When she launched Sarah Good Designs and learned how much she’d have to spend on a business line to match that name in what was then a necessary item called a phone book, Keri had shrugged and changed her name to Sarah Good, which she’s gone by ever since, for the cheaper residential listing. She lived her life that way – forging a unique path, even if it meant re-inventing herself, toward her creative dreams –  while working hard, laughing hard, and (particularly as the talented frontwoman for the band The Goods) rocking hard. In her memory, her loved ones have created the Sarah Good Foundation to support female artist-entrepreneurs like Sarah. The first annual SGF show will feature food trucks, silent auction, raffle, and all-evening live music featuring The House Combo, The Free Radicals, Tanya and the Professors, Paula Clare, Gary Cummings, and The Goods with Neal Vitullo of Neal and the Vipers. 1. Thanks for the correction (I thought it was Clare but went with the spelling on the FB event). Sarah was amazing, and tomorrow should be a fantastic time in her memory.

  2. Oops, typo: ^Paula Claire^Paula Clare

I only met Sarah once, at a Goods show at Nick-A-Nee’s. Glad I had that opportunity to tell her how much I liked her music.
