Anniversaries At Arcade

(11.30) Head over to the Arcade on Friday evening and help celebrate the 1st Anniversary of Cured Collection and the 5th Anniversary of Carmen & Ginger! Food, drinks, vintage vendors, and sounds by Beato.

There will be a live DJ in the Atrium, vintage vendors, special cash bar at New Harvest, special offers, collections, giveaways and more!

Holiday parking rules are in effect.

Carmen & Ginger owner, Christine Francis, has loaded up with vintage holiday tchotchkes including table cloths and linens, but still has plenty of fantastic clothes, jewelry, and all sorts of unique gift possibilities. She has also created a Benny’s greeting card and wrapping paper from an ad first printed in the Providence Evening bulletin on December 7, 1967. Special on Friday night — $5 for a pair. (See pic below).

Right next door is Cured Collection which has made it to the one year mark! They sell street style T-shirts and caps, Supreme, Champion, and vintage sports tees and hoodies, and the sweaters in the picture below caught my eye — Polo and Tommy Hilfiger. Follow them on Instagram — great photography.

And down the hall is Bad Taste where I spotted this trunk of ugly “sweaters” which are really sweatshirts. His inventory is similar to Cured Collection.

The Winter Lights Markets will be in full swing over by City Hall and the skating rink, so wander around.

6pm to 10pm, Friday, November 30, Providence Arcade, 65 Weybosset Street, (directions)
