(1.19) I’m no cosplay expert but I do like the Shelter Arcade Bar. They have everything — pinball machines, arcade games, even Skee-ball — all on free play. And now you get to dress up. (Facebook event.)
Boston and Rhode Island Comic Con may be over, but the shenanigans continue at Shelter Arcade Bar’s first cosplay night! Come out and meet up with fellow cosplayers for a night of fun! Show us your best character and strut your stuff to the judges for the cosplay contest! Play some games and enter in the raffles and contests for a chance to win some awesome prizes including but not limited to gift cards, gift baskets, and swag from our fantastic sponsors! Get yourself a specialty cocktail at the bar like an Addams Family or a South Park! All arcade games are FREE to play!
Same safety rules apply to “weaponry” as they have at the Cons: No real weapons or functioning projectile weapons, including guns, crossbows, swords, ninja stars, water pistols, silly-string guns, etc. See the event page for the rest.
Shelter security and staff reserve to right to refuse any weapon or costume accessory/prop into the show at any time.
Free admission for 21+. Ages 18-20, $5 cover.
9pm to midnight, Saturday, January 19, Shelter Arcade Bar, 103 Dike Street, (directions)
