All Eggs Have Hatched

One . . . two . . . four . . . I’m going to take the Audubon Society’s word for it, because all I see is a plate of floating islands under a mohair pillow sham. Even on their “four eyases” video it is hard to sort them out.

What is an eyas? A recently hatched, unfledged falcon is called an eyas, although nestling seems to be acceptable.

Attention Scrabble players: eyas, eyases, eyass, and eyasses are all good words.

Don’t forget to donate! It’s cheaper than Xanax and you can still drink alcohol.
