(8.14) The Korean American Association of Rhode Island (KAARI) will be hosting a “Korea Day Celebration” featuring traditional dance and music this Sunday, August 14 — and admission is free. Founded in 1993, ‘Sounds of Korea’ is part of the New York-based Korean Performing Arts Center, consisting of a dance troupe, an instrumental chamber ensemble, and a percussion ensemble.

Admission and food are free thanks to grants from the Rhode Island State Council of the Arts, Expansion Arts Program, Overseas Koreans Foundation, and Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Boston.
