(6.4) The Providence Flea moves back outside along the river this Sunday, and while the weather may not be ideal for the vendors, potential customers won’t have so much else to do. The Flea is entering its 11th summer season bringing together indie makers, upcyclers, and vintage dealers, together with non-profits, food vendors and the public.
We’re a marketplace, for sure, and our vendors are carefully selected, small- and micro-businesses, and their wares are hand-picked, homemade, handcrafted and small batch. What you won’t find is anything mass-produced or licensed, or typically sold through groups, clubs, franchises or independent salespeople on a large scale.
The Flea takes over the boardwalk every Sunday (barring typhoons and seagull invasions) through September 24. Check on updates at FB.
Opening Day Summer Flea, 10am to 3pm, Sunday, June 4, 275 South Water Street, (directions)
