‘Quikuchá’ At India Point

(8.10) I’m not sure what this is exactly, but any summer evening spent sitting on the dock of the bay is already pretty good. This event will take place over at the Community Boating Center, to the right in this image. I strongly recommend you watch the short video at the artist’s website.

Quikuchá is an experimental video performance piece that explores migration from human to non-human perspectives, taking place on Narragansett waters and beyond. The project is devised and executed by hernán darío jourdan, with the assistance of the sailing community at large.

(Hernan Jourdan will be holding forth next week at the RISD Museum (Friday, August 18, 2:30pm). Questions, answers, and more questions: Mysteries of Quikuchá.)

Quikuchá, 7:30pm, Thursday, August 10, Community Boating Center, Portugal Pkwy, India Point, (directions)
